It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.
Sometimes what we know deep in our hearts gets clouded over by doubts and questions
and other people’s opinions and judgments. We need to clear away such clouds and listen to our hearts, for our hearts carry the wisdom of God. –Today’s Gift | More…

An elevated mood can only come out of an elevated habit of personal character. If in the externals of your life you live up to the highest you know, God will continually say — “Friend, go up higher.” The golden rule in temptation is — “Go higher.” When you get higher up, you face other temptations and characteristics –My Utmost for His Highest | More…

If we picture or vision something, and along with this picture we have doubting thoughts, our vision will not happen and we will get EXACTLY what we picture or vision. The Law always works.

A doubting vision will not materialize what we want. A vision without doubt will always happen. This is a spiritual Law. –Elders Meditations | More…

We are created by God to be vision people. If we create within ourselves a picture or vision and we hold that picture or vision in our mind, whatever we picture will show up in our reality.

If we can see ourselves being educated, then schools and teachers will show up in our lives. If we picture in our mind a positive, spiritual person to be in our lives, we will attract this type of person in our relationships. How big can our dreams be? –Elders Meditations | More…

Our ability to create an image of ourselves – successfully handling a conflict is a tool that can enhance our sense of well-being. How lucky we are to have the ability to think what we want to think and to visualize situations that will bring us pleasure.

God is in control of the outcomes of our life, but we’re in control of our contributions toward those outcomes. And one way we contribute most productively is by thinking positively and imagining ourselves fulfilled and content through our acts of love toward others. –In God’s Care  | More…

We awaken in the morning, and the day is an un-built creation. We have some ideas about what we will accomplish today.

But our Higher Power also has some things in mind, which are not yet part of our consciousness. But what about the totally unexpected? Will we even notice the subtle opportunities?

Do our plans unwittingly prevent other possibilities from intruding? When we hold loosely to our daily plans, we are more open to knowing the will of our Higher Power.

Then each day is a spiritual process. It becomes a combined creation of our Higher Power and our own consciousness. –Touchstones | More…

Some people insist that we must visualize ourselves enjoying success if we ever hope to achieve it. AA says virtually the same about sobriety; in fact, “A Vision for You” is the name of a chapter in Alcoholics Anonymous.

We have rich imaginative powers. In AA., we learn to use those same powers to see ourselves enjoying happy sobriety as well as a secure place in the world. –Walk In Dry Places/Mel B. | More…

We frequently aren’t given what we want, but we are always given exactly what we need at the moment. Our fantasies are always tied to a future moment, and seldom correlate with the real conditions that are necessary to our continued spiritual growth.

Fantasies are purposeful. They give us goals to strive for, directions to move in. They are never as far-sighted as the goals our Higher Power has in store for us, though.

We have far greater gifts than we are aware of, and we are being pushed to develop them at the very times when it seems our world is crashing down. Our real purpose in life far exceeds our fondest dreams. –Each Day A New Beginning/Karen Casey | More...

What do we see when we daydream about the future? Is everything much better than it is now, or are we still struggling with the same issues?

Are we dreaming about what we really want or about what we think we want? Do we see the whole picture or just a piece of it? Do our daydreams match our goals?

Actions we take today affect how we live tomorrow. We create our dreams, we can turn our wishes into goals and our goals into reality. –Letting Go of Debt/Karen Casanova | More…

Since the beginning of time, Indian people have been blessed with the ability and knowledge of the vision. The vision determines our future. The concept is, we move toward and become that which we think about.

We have known that all visions are about the Great Spirit. They should include God’s will in every area of our lives.

We should have visions about our people, about healthy relationships, about helping others, about being happy, about being educated. Each day we should renew our vision.

We should ask the Creator to give us a vision of what He wants us to be and where He wants us to go in our lives. We should be the seekers of vision. –Elders Meditations/White Bison | More…

The greatest tragedy in life is people who have sight but no vision. The miracle of recovery has given me new vision!

When I took my Fourth Step I began to see with new vision and clarity. As I continued to take the Steps, I found that my new vision not only remained, but grew broader and deeper every day.

I continue to celebrate life with the vision that recovery brings. This vision is one of deep joy, gratitude, serenity, and love!–One Day At A Time | More…

In addition to these casual get-togethers, it became customary to set apart one night a week for a meeting to be attended by anyone or everyone interested in a spiritual way of life. Aside from fellowship and sociability, the prime object was to provide a time and place where new people might bring their problems. –Big Book p.159-160 | More…

There is a saying, “You move toward and become like that which you think about.” If we keep thinking about a bad thing, we will move in that direction. If we think about secret things, these secret things will come to pass. Our visions are very powerful. Visions determine our direction, our lives. We should think about our visions to make sure they include the Great Spirit in every area. –Elders Meditations | More…Related image
